I am Ilya Chigirev, a recent graduate of the Rutgers School of Engineering from the electrical & computer engineering program. I currently live in Piscataway, am attending Rutgers University as a masters student, and currently work at WINLAB.
I graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in electrical and computer engineering, concentrating in circuits and electromagnetism. While in college I worked a variety of jobs including being the photography editor for the Rutgers newspaper, The Daily Targum in my first year and part of my second. My third and fourth year of Rutgers I worked for WINLAB, the wireless research lab in the engineering department. I continue to work there part time while I attend Rutgers for my masters degree in electrical engineering. There I worked on a variety of projects from circuit design to helping maintain the lab. I am very interested in hardware design (both chip/transistor level and FPGA), solid state electronics, and EM effects. For more about my work take a look at my resume.
I was born in Russia and came to the country when I was 4 years old, and I have lived in NJ every since. I like a lot of music, but unfortunately can not play any instruments. I have a lot of things that I am interested in, which is nice for me because above all I like to keep busy, and rarely don't have something to do. Above all else I like working with my hands, whether it be woodworking or fixing my car, and solving problems, which is what drove me to engineering. Here are a few of the things I enjoy ...
